Sonarr Not Working on Mobile Networks

Sonarr Version: 2.0.0.4230
Windows 8.1 x64 Pro

I can access my Sonarr installation from any computer when away from home.I can even access Sonarr on my phone or tablet when away from home and using a WiFi connection. So I know I have port forwarding enabled correctly. However if I am away from home using the Verizon 4g LTE network Sonarr refuses to load. I have even tried managing it with apps such as NZBManager and they also do not work if I try it over the Verizon network. I am using a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 running Android 6.0.1. I have tried multiple Android browsers, Chrome, Dolphin, and Boat Browser.

The NZBManager app gives a timeout error when trying to connect the browsers just try and load the Sonarr page indefinitely.

Anyone else have this problem? If you need anything more please ask. I really want to get this fixed.

Can you access other services running at home remotely from your 4g connection? The only way I can see it being blocked is if your mobile network is blocking it or something on your home connection’s side, Sonarr doesn’t have any filtering based on the source network.

Everything else works fine. I have CouchPotato, Mylar, Lazy Librarian, and SabNZBd setup on one server and I can access everything but Sonarr on the mobile network.

Enable ((debug logging)) in Sonarr and then check the logs after trying to connect over 4g, Sonarr will log all requests to the server and you can see if any made it there.

I don’t know what to look for so I copied the relevant section of my debug log to hastbin. I tried to connect from my mobile network on my phone with both Boat Browser and NZBManager, both of which gave me timeout errors.

16-8-2 12:02:28.3|Debug|Api|[GET] /api/config/ui: 200.OK (0 ms) (and the lines that follow)

I see a number of connections requesting various things, but I’m not sure which one (if any) are you connecting from your phone.

That one you pointed out that occured at 12:02:28 was at the exact time I tried to connect with my phone using Boat Browser.

Fixed it! For some reason Verizon does not like me using port 9898. I switched to another random port and now everything works fine.
