Sonarr not using latest version of mono

Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.5228
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): 5.10.0.160
OS: 10.12.6

Description of issue: I don’t think this is serious, but I wanted to check. Even though Mono version 5.12.0.226 is installed, sonarr (+ radarr/lidarr) all make use of Mono 5.10.0.160

Sonarr is running perfectly as are the others, but it does seem a bit peculiar because Mono version 5.12.x.x is showing up in lots of forum posts; so i thought i’d check. TIA

Sonarr uses whichever mono version it comes across when starting, you may be able to find it’s location via which mono from terminal.

5.10 is recommended over 5.12 given the issues with 5.12 in some setups.

thank you. i’m taking your advice and leaving everything just the way it is until mono fixes its issues. i don’t need to borrow trouble

i was a bit curious, so i thought i’d see where which mono took me. it took me directly to Mono 5.12.0.226. seems i’m doubly lucky that Mono 5.10.0.160 was still chosen.

i could easily have become one of those users trying to climb out of the Mono 5.12.0.226 bottomless pit.
