Description of issue: Had a hard drive failure which stored all of my tv shows. Went into sonarr and changed the tv directory to another drive in an empty directory, enabled create season folders, rescanned library. Still shows that all of my tv shows exist, despite the fact that they don’t exist. Might show a few it’s picked up from the drone factory in the debug log. Also of note, it didn’t create any empty season folders even though the option is enabled in settings. I read the other posts of similar issues but found no solution. Any help appreciated.
Sonarr needs the series folder to exist to rescan and see the files are missing, you can instruct Sonarr to create Empty Series folders in settings, but in order for it to do that it will need to see at least one folder in the root folder (where the series folders will be created) to know that the location actually exists and isn’t unmounted.
Not sure what changed but I left for a while and came back and it had created all of the series directories and rescanned properly. Problem solved.
