Description of issue: Not sure if this is a Sonarr issue or not… most of my shows download just fine. But I recently setup to get Talking Dead. That talk show is currently discussing Season 8, but Sonarr is downloading Season 7. The episode descriptions do make reference to the current season episodes, but everything is Season 7. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
Which source does Sonarr use for determining Season and Episode?
I went to thetvdb.com, and the listing there is “off” by 1 season… sort of not really.
Talking Dead started their naming with Season 2 to coincide with Walking Dead. There never was a “Season 1”… so there have only been seven seasons of Talking Dead.
Is there any way around this? I assume that as shows are uploaded, the uploader is naming the episode as the shows season and episode number… however this is different from thetvdb.
Sonarr is referring to a source for the current season|episode… and searches according to the source naming, but those who have uploaded have used those season|episode numbers for last season - not the current one.
I did request support at thetvdb, but they have stated that they will not rename because of a season that did not exist.
That’s what the mapping on thexem.de is supposed to be doing, but looks out of date. You’ll need to contact thexem.de mods to take a look and see if they can help.
