I have Sonarr programed to detect my late shows and download them immediately with an SD profile. I only use torrents (for now), but for The Late Late Show with James Corden I can’t get Sonarr to detect the file. For example, when I do a manual search I get the “No results found” message, even though if I search for that file in the indexer website I can clearly see it there.
Why is this happening and is there a way to get it fixed?
Your indexer isn’t returning results when you’re searching for them, possibly because they aren’t indexed properly or the series type isn’t set properly (use Daily for series that are released using the date instead of season + episode numbers).
Sonarr won’t be using search to automatically find releases (as explained in the ((FAQ))), but if the series type is wrong Sonarr will reject it when processing the RSS feed, you can verify that by checking the ((debug logs)).
The tv show is properly set up, and the debug logs only say that it’s not finding anything. I think the problem is that the episode was released on 9/Jan/2017, but Sonar has it for 10/Jan/2017, so when it looks for the file it’s not getting it because it’s not there (yet) … I’ll prove my theory today when the 10/1/17 episode is available.
sYes, I was right. For example, if I wan to download the file Late Late Show that aired on 9/1/17 I search it and get no results. However, if I look for the show The Late Late Show with James Corden - 01/10/2017 - Neil Patrick Harris, Sienna Miller, Tom Ford, I actually get the results from the shows that aired on 9/1/17, because the files are things such as
James.Corden.2017.01.10 … Is there a way to fix this? Torrents are properly labeled, what’s not properly labeled is the show date in Sonarr.
TheTVDB lists that episode as airing on the 10th, not the 9th because that’s when it actually airs, even if it’s possible in the network’s list for airing on the 9th (they seem to have a schedule that doesn’t conform to the 00:00:00-11:59:59 day.
The only way to resolve this without trying to decipher it and possible break other shows would be to change the air dates, but then they will appear as missing in Sonarr until the actually air, the day after the air date says it would.
Hey, just getting setup with Sonarr & am impressed at all that it can do, thanks for all the effort. It’s working great with everything else I’ve chucked at it so far!
I have also just hit this issue with the late late show, & was scratching my head for a good while till I found this post. All my episodes are named incorrectly with the wrong titles (from the following episode) or some are just missed due to the air date issue. Seems to be ok for episodes last year, just not this year, guess the show time may have changed since then (tvdb site seems down so I can’t check right now). So am having to decide between disabling the renaming for all daily shows to work around most of that, or having to skip Sonarr for this show :-/
It sounds like they are sticking with the current schedule naming/dates, so may have to wait to see if the scene/groups adopt this so future releases use the following day airdate to match thetvdb.
Bit stuck in limbo for the time being, thought I’d jump in to say +1 to any possible ways to work-around this (without complicating things for other working shows).
