Sonarr no longer working on xpenology box

Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.3357 / 20150731-8
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows):4.6.2.7.8
OS: XPEnology DSM 5.2 5644
((Debug logs)):
(Make sure debug logging is enabled in settings and post the full log to hastebin/pastebin/dropbox/google drive or something similar, do not post them directly here)
Description of issue:

I’ve been using Sonarr on my DSM 5.2 Xpenology NAS for over a year now but for some reason it’s now crashing almost as soon as it tries to do anything and I have to go back in to Package Center to restart it. I’m no expert but I think it might be to do with Mono getting update but what do i know?

If anyone knows what might be going on i’d appreciate the help.

Thanks

That’s a really old version of Sonarr, if you re-installed Sonarr recently that version isn’t compatible with the database of newer versions.

Without seeing any log files and preferably ((debug logs)) we can’t see what the problem is so we can’t suggest what to do to fix it.

you solution is here:

The version of Sonarr i’ve been using is the latest one on Synocommunity and i didn’t know if it was possible to install a newer version from somewhere else. I’ll get debug logs going and get back to you.

I tried following the instructions from the link you provided, Katsuya, but unfortunately when i try and update Sonarr via UI the operation fails and i cant figure out why :frowning:

Here’s my debug log, i hope it contains what you need.

This is why it’s failing:
System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path "/tmp/nzbdrone_backup/config.xml" is denied. at System.IO.File.Delete (System.String path) [0x0007b] in /spksrc/native/mono/work-native/mono-4.6.2/mcs/class/corlib/System.IO/File.cs:182

Permissions related, likely.

Any idea how i’d fix it? I’m sorry but im a bit of a Synology/XPEnology noob.

Make sure the user running Sonarr (nzbdrone I believe) has read+write access (you may need to assign the permissions through the sc-media group).

Thanks, i finally managed to get Sonarr to update.
