Hi,
I have been running Sonarr as a FreeNAS 9.2.1 PBI for a few months now, mostly it’s fine, occasionally I need to restart the jail as the web interface randomly dies.
This happened the other night, and i restarted the jail as usual and the interface loads but will either become unresponsive very quickly, or it sits at the very first page with the loading dots bouncing around forever. Currently, it’s doing this, and I have no access to the GUI at all.
It will sometimes pop up, in the bottom right corner with “require.js: 163 Error: load timeout for modules: apilsystem/status,apilseries,apiltag”
There is no errors in /var/db/sonarr/logs/nzbdrone.txt - apart from some problems setting various file permissions, and it seems to get stuck scanning for Cops (which doesn’t exist anymore).
I couldn’t find much in the way of troubleshooting information, so if someone could point me in the right direction for a few basic steps to try - I think I will try deleting the config file and maybe the database too…
Another weird thing, when it HAS somewhat worked, and I look at Settings - there are a heap of things missing, for eg. I’d setup some torrent indexers and transmission but all of that stuff is missing …
It does not display any version numbers at the bottom of the page. FreeNAS PBI is 2.0.0.2850
It seems that everything is in different locations on FreeNAS/FreeBSD so i’m not sure where to start regards deleting config files and the database etc. I’d really not like to have to start over again with setting it up and scanning the library.
If all else fails I’m sure deleting the entire jail and starting again will work but this would be a pain in the butt.
Okay strange … I removed some old TV show folders from Sabnzbd downloads directory and now the UI is responsive again (after another jail restart). It’s currently refreshing and scanning shows so we’ll see how it goes …
Update Sonarr, we haven’t used require.js for some time.
Whomever maintains the FreeNAS PBI package must be fairly behind, as that is the latest version.
I have been able to set log level to trace now, so that should point out any problems hopefully.
It’s still running, weirdly … kind of unstable, restart jail, brings it back into use but then it’ll randomly become unresponsive. I’ve also noticed that file permissions are all different, and some shows haven’t been properly renamed (they still have quality and group on the end)… Not sure where this is coming from, my suspicions are with Transmission…
Okay i did an update from the GUI and things are much more responsive but it’s gone nuts adding episode to the download queue… A heap of episodes which it claims can’t be imported (except they already exist in the library) and downloading a heap of episodes which already exists. It’s changed path names and then created new folders all over the place…
So it’s kind of working but there needs a huge amount of clean up and quick hands to stop it going through terabytes worth of downloads for no reason …
But hey it seems to have decided to work at least …
Use a different category in your download client so Sonarr doesn’t track the old downloads.
