Sonarr isn't detecting my NAS

Hey there,

I’ve recently started using Sonarr, and until today, it had no issue detecting the Thecus NAS that I had mapped as the Z: drive on my PC. For some reason, it isn’t detecting it anymore, and I’m not sure why, or what settings I need to change.

Help?

This is covered in our FAQ: https://github.com/Sonarr/Sonarr/wiki/FAQ#why-cant-sonarr-see-my-files-on-a-remote-server

I’ve checked the FAQ, and as far as I can see, the path is mapped the way it should be - either that or I’m really not understanding something about it.

Solutions:

  1. Change your paths to UNC paths (\server\share)
  2. Run NzbDrone.exe via the Startup Folder

To expand on #2 - don’t run Sonarr as a service, run it on startup via the startup folder instead. Mapped network drives don’t work well with Windows services, this is a limitation of Windows.
