I tried manually searching my indexers for Rurouni Kenshin and the search fails with the following error:
Error occurred while executing task SeriesSearch: Can not search for an episode without an absolute episode number
Parameter name: AbsoluteEpisodeNumber
Let me know if there is more information I can provide.
It needs an absolute episode number, which would need to be added on TheTVDB, if its a special without an absolute episode number it cannot be searched for, but even if Sonarr could it wouldn’t be able to download it and determine which release it was and grab it.
Well, I checked TheTVDB and absolute number is filled in for Rurouni Kenshin. I’m almost certain the series is set to Anime; I’ll check as soon as I get home.
Not for every episode, none of the specials have an absolute episode number, I didn’t check the rest, but thats the issue. you can try searching for each season independently.
Forgive my ignorance, but I’m not sure what exactly you mean. I use Deluge, so you’re saying if I download a batch of files to any directory, Sonarr will pick it up so long as it’s labeled the same as what my Sonarr labels are? (tv-sonarr).
Wow, that’s pretty amazing! It’s not even tied to a specific directory?? I’ve only been using this software for a couple of days, but I must say I’m very impressed! I’m a convert from Filebot; I was skeptical at first, but this is pretty advanced!
Any directory works as long as Sonarr can access it. Sonarr gets the location from the download client, waits for the download to complete then it imports it.
