Sonarr doesn't grab episodes anymore

Sonarr version (exact version):2.0.0.4472
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): 4.6.2 (Stable 4.6.2.7/08fd525
OS: Synology DS412+

Description of issue:

Hi all,

Since a couple of weeks Sonarr stopped grabbing episodes automatically.
Yesterday evening/night it had to grab a new episode of “The Vampire Diaries” and “Hawaii Five-0”, “Emerald City” and “MacGyver (2016)”, but it didn’t.
What fixes the issue is restarting Sonarr and searching manually from the ‘Wanted’ tab, but after that this issue starts again. No episodes are grabbed the next day.
Tried looking in the logs, but can’t find anything useful.
If someone could help me?

Do the episodes show up on the calendar? If so what colour are they?

Are you using multiple indexers?
Do you see releases you expect to be grabbed in the debug logs?
If you do a manual search do you see releases?

These logs don’t show anything since the episode is already there, we’d need to see ((debug logs)) from the RSS sync where the releases were skipped for some reason.

Oops, I added the wrong part.

I tried finding relevant information, but I do not know where to start. There are so many log files…
I tried searching in the log files on “series name”, but it doesn’t come op with relevant information about the episode it had to grab.

First, make sure debug logging is enabled.
Second, make sure you’re searching for the release name Series.Title.S01E01 instead of Series Title S01E01 (or whatever the release name is).

Debug logs don’t go back very long though, maybe a day at the most.

I found this in sonarr.debug.txt (also attached to first post). I searched only for the vampire diaries (bold), but I see the same message in the log for other TV shows.

As a starting point, I’d guess that those 42 bytes were “This torrent is for registered users only.” but your logs also show that Sonarr cannot connect to SAB or Transmission…

Strange, because I don’t have any problem now when testing Sabnzbd…

Though I saw, I still had my old internal IP set for transmission, now I changed that…

And I am a registered users at Torrentbytes…But didn’t enter a login cookie… Where can I find it?

I’m sorry, but as it was just a small part of the log, I thought it was allowed. The full log was already in the first post.

I saw the info about the cookies, but how can I retrieve a cookie from a browser?

Just post the link to the full log in the reply, keeping them in the initial post means you need to jump up just to grab a link.

Browser developer tools would be the way to get it, which will depend on the browser you’re using, google is likely the best place to find out how for your particular browser.

Thanks, I’ll give that a try when this problem is resolved.

So I reinstalled Sonarr, Sabnzbd and Transmission again and configured them from scratch.
It still doesn’t grab episodes automatically.
When restarting Sonarr it grabbed 1 episode of a show and adds it to Sabnzbd, but no other episodes are grabbed.

In the System tab I now also see this error:
"Unable to communicate with Transmission. Cannot access a disposed object. Object name: ‘System.Net.Sockets.NetworkStream’."

I now see this error in the log: 17-2-13 05:17:58.3|Warn|ProcessDownloadDecisions|Couldn’t add report to download queue. Black.Sails.S04E03.720p.HDTV.x264-FLEET

The error message explains the issue:

[v2.0.0.4472] NzbDrone.Core.Download.Clients.DownloadClientException: Unable to connect to SABnzbd, please check your settings ---> System.Net.WebException: Curl Error SslCaCert for Url https://192.168.1.101:9090/api?mode=addfile&cat=tv&priority=1&apikey=(removed)&output=json, issues with your operating system SSL Root Certificate Bundle (ca-bundle).

You’ll need to update the ca-bundle on your system.

Thanks for the help.
I forgot my certificate was expired :
I bought a new one and hopefully it will work again.
Last two days I set sabnzbd without SSL and it grabbed episodes again. Hopefully tonight is will also with SSL enabled.

So after 3 days it still gives me the same error

I’ve renewed my certificates. And when I restart Sonarr and hit the “search missing episodes” button, it just grabs the episodes.

So it’s strange that overnight it doesn’t grab them, but after a restart it does…

It’s not your certificate that’s the issue, its the ca-bundle for your OS, that needs to be updated so it trusts the CA your certificate is signed by.
