Description of issue:
G’day guys and girls,
I’m having an issue with sonarr deleting the full episode and renaming the sample as the episode as pictured above. I’ve changed the setting for propers to be updated thinking this was the issue but it hasn’t helped.
This is happening on not just this episode but others aswell. I think it might be the fact that the samples have a slightly higher data rate as posted below. The full episodes data is on the left and the sample on the right
Sonarr uses the runtime of the series to determine if a file is a sample.
Last Man on Earth has a runtime of 25 minutes (according to TheTVDB), which means the smallest file Sonarr will import is 5 minutes, unless Manual Import is used to overwrite it. The only way I can see that being skipped is if someone changed the runtime on TheTVDB so something less than that and it’s since been fixed.
Without ((debug logs)) of the import we can’t say why it was imported.
