Sonarr custom indexer stopped responding suddenly

I have a custom indexer for HD torrents that’s been in place for a few months now and just this week apparently it’s no longer responding when i execute a test in Sonarr. when i go to Jackett and run the test for the configured index it brings back a successful result. not sure what i should do at this point to fix this issue. i’ve tried recreating the index that was already in place but now i can’t add it back because it states that the indexer is not responding in Sonarr.
