Sonarr crashes 30 seconds after service start

Mono Version: Mono JIT compiler version 4.2.3 (Stable 4.2.3.4/832de4b Wed Mar 16 13:19:08 UTC 2016)
OS: Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS

I start the service and before I can do to much beyond login, the UI seems to stall. After about a few minutes I get the toaster message “connection to the backend was lost”. Restarting the service produces the same results.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Capturing the process output to a file (https://stackoverflow.com/a/637839/882971) will capture mono crashing, which will help. Since Sonarr is checking a file the issue is likely an outdated mediainfo, best to update using their repo (the Ubuntu repo is out of date) https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download/Ubuntu.

Thanks for the guidance, Markus. I updated mediainfo and it would appear that Sonarr no longer crashes. If I run into trouble again, I’ll post with process output.
