Sonarr Calendar not loading in Google Calendar

Sonarr version (exact version): Sonarr Ver. 2.0.0.4928
OS: Windows 10
Description of issue:

I cannot get my Sonarr Calendar to load in Google Calendar.

This is how my iCal link has been entered in to Google Calendar via ‘Add by URL’:
http://publicIP:8989/feed/calendar/Sonarr.ics?apikey=mykey

When navigating to the above url from a device not within my network, it will immediately download an iCal file indicating there are no issues with access to the Sonarr Calendar…

I’ve looked everywhere and cannot find an answer to this problem.

Further Info:

  1. The iCal file does contain information.
  2. Adding the iCal file to Google Calendar does update the calendar with entries from my Sonarr Calendar.
  3. I have ‘unsubscribed’ and re-added the URL multiple times with no change.

Have you tried using a publicly accessible domain name pointed at your IP?

A dynamic DNS provider such as DynDNS or No-IP should be able to do it. I know Hotmail used to block calendar access to an IP instead of a hostname, perhaps Google is doing the same.

You beautiful, beautiful man. Thank you dearly. I have spent an entire day scratching my head at this.

… No longer shall I scratch.

Papa bless.
