Sonarr assingning incorrct episode number to anime

Sonarr version (exact version): 3.0.3.928
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows):5.20.1.34
OS: Ubuntu

I have many anime files with names like the following:

Dragonball Z-218-1080p BluRay x264 DHD

But sonarr doesn’t seem to understand these episodes. It tags episode 218 as S02E18, which is not right. In many cases, this results in sonarr giving an error, and requiring manual action to fix. Is there any way I can tell sonarr that the torrents for this particualr show are all just fine? Or any setting I can use to fix this? Dragonball is set as ‘anime’ in the show settings.

It’s failing because based on that name it has no indication it’s anime, that is typically done with square brackets around the release group and the beginning or the end of the file/release name.

Sonarr is unable to distinguish that name from a release for a standard series that have 3 or 4 digit numbers that correspond to the season and episode number. The series type has no affect on parsing because Sonarr has no way to know the series type before it parses the name and determines the series.
