Sonarr version (exact version): Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): OS: ((Debug logs)): (Make sure debug logging is enabled in settings and post the full log to hastebin/pastebin/dropbox/google drive or something similar, do not post them directly here) Description of issue: I have a season of a show that I had before I got Sonarr. If I point sonarr to the show, it recognizes it and adds it to my series - but it does not format it and recognize that I have the episodes after that. The show is in my list of series, but Sonarr says I do not have any of the media.
How do I get Sonarr to recognize the show I already had and process them like the rest (edit the file names and such)?
Check the ((debug logs)) to see why Sonarr isn’t seeing them.
Sonarr won’t automatically rename episodes that are already sorted, but once you have them detected in Sonarr you can organize them and have Sonarr rename them.
If I downloaded these episodes through something else, how do I get Sonarr to recognize them? I pointed Sonarr to the folder, but when I click “Update series info and scan disk” it doesn’t recognize that I have the episodes.
Copy the episodes that you retrieved through another method to the show’s episode folder. Once they are there, have sonar update series info and scan disk. Once it sees the files you copied over, you can then have sonar rename them through the rename option.
There may be other ways to do this but this is how I have done it in the past.
The episodes are in the show’s episode folder already. Next, I have Sonarr “update series info and scan disk” and it scans, but it doesn’t update the episode names or recognize that I have the episodes. It still says that all the episodes are missing. It also does not rename them, I don’t think it can see them at all. What else can I do?
I was able to fix the problem by renaming the episodes I had. There was some extraneous information in brackets before the title of the show. I removed those and Sonarr was able to detect and rename the files correctly.
