Some Specials seasons data not being imported

Recently setup a new media server. On importing series into Sonarr I have noticed some strange behaviour that I can’t quite explain.

For instance

Ended - Season Locked on thetvdv
Gavin & Stacy - No Specials are shown
Only Fools & Horses - No Specials are shown
Being Human - No Specials are shown

Ended - Season Not Locked on thetvdb
Blackadder - Specials are shown

Continuing - Season Not Locked on thetvdb
Archer - Specials are shown

Continuing - Season Not Locked on thetvdb
Gold Rush - Specials are shown
Alaska The Last Frontier - Specials are shown

So, I think, for some reason, Seasons that have ended and have the season specials folder locked on thetvdb are not getting the metadata grabbed by Sonarr.

I have tested this on the latest version of both Windows & running in a Debian & Phusion Docker base images all updated to the latest version 2.0.0.2850

The fact that the specials were locked was just coincidence, we’ve seen this before with other series as well.

The episode information is stored in our own proxy/cache of sorts (named Skyhook) which lets us extend the information to include things Sonarr needs (air times in UTC and clean up a duplicate episodes).

For whatever reason when Skyhook cached this series it didn’t include the specials, which could happen for a few different reasons.

I’ve cleared the caching and these should be updated within the next hour.

I feel a bit daft now that I spent so long trying to troubleshoot! Really thought I was on to something.

So if I encounter this issue again with any other series, is it best to post somewhere or just wait for Skyhook to recache the series?

We’ll be re-caching periodically (daily for now) to prevent this from happening again, that should be going live sometime this week.

Let us know if you see any others this week.

Same issue with locked Specials from theTVdb.

I took a peek at the Skyhook feed (http://skyhook.sonarr.tv/v1/tvdb/shows/en/179791) and the specials aren’t there.

This one is fixed, still waiting on some changes before this one goes in.

K, I just wiped the cache so everything should redownload in the next hit after about an hour.
