SOLVED - USER ERROR. Failing to move and rename episodes lately

Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.4146
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): 4.0.4 ((detached/d481017 Mon Sep 28 17:32:19 EDT 2015)
OS: Mavericks
((Debug logs)) (posted to hastebin or similar): can’t find anything applicable
Description of issue: I’ve noticed on several occasions recently, that sonarr is failing to move the downloaded episode - after decompressing from rar - to the appropriate folder. And even when I manually drop the file into the appropriate location, sonarr will detect it just fine, but will not rename it like usual.

I don’t know why this is, and couldn’t find anything at all related to the episodes in question in the logs (saw this last night with an American Dad episode, and just now with the latest episode of The Last Ship. Have seen it other times in the past but just dismissed it as a fluke).

Anyone have any ideas what causes this sort of thing?

If you moved it to the series folder manually and refreshed the series the file would be picked up, but you’d need to tell Sonarr to rename it.

Knowing the status that Sonarr reports in activity should set you on the right path to find it the the ((debug logs)).

I did tell sonarr to rename them, that’s my point. It just says there is nothing to rename.

Had the file already been picked up by Sonarr?
As long as renaming is enabled and not using original title it will present it for renaming once it knows about it.

Yes, Sonarr sees that the file is there, lists it as the path to the file, etc. But renaming says there is nothing to rename.

Please post a screenshot of your media management settings. ((Debug logs)) of the rename may also help.

OMG WTF. I have no idea how, but somehow renaming got disabled! Totally bizarre… must have been a slip of the mouse at some point recently or something. Go figure. Renaming now works fine. Sorry to bother you with this non-issue!
