[SOLVED] Fresh install not downloading posters

Version 2.0.0.5054
Mono Version 5.4.1.6
Ubuntu Server 16.04.03 Lts
log: HERE

Howdy,

I had Sonarr running for years and decided to rebuild my server from scratch. Once I installed I imported my series via the “Import Existing Series On Disk” link, I have also added a few new series since the install that I did not import from disk.

None of the series show poster art, just a dark box with the Sonarr logo, and the logs show the poster art cannot be found. Checking the MediaCover folders, only the fanart-360.jpg and fanart.jpg are there so the poster art is not being downloaded.

I found a few older posts regarding similar issues but all seemed to be fixed by long past updates.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

My guess is that your system is crashing:

17-12-3 20:45:50.4|Info|MediaCoverService|Downloading Fanart for [70994][M*A*S*H] http://thetvdb.com/banners/fanart/original/70994-7.jpg
17-12-3 20:45:55.1|Info|Bootstrap|Starting Sonarr - /opt/NzbDrone/NzbDrone.exe - Version 2.0.0.5054

It’s simply terminated, so my guess is that mono crashes which Sonarr can’t log in it’s logfile. A console log might have more info.
Either way, it’s almost certainly a native library issues (libgdiplus, mono, etc).

Thanks for the reply @Taloth. The issue happened prior to trying to add the MASH series if that makes a difference.

Any suggestions on how I could address it?

You’ll probably want to capture the standard output and error to a file, how exactly you do that will depend on how Sonarr is run, but googling how to redirect that to a file would be a good first step.

Thanks for the reply @markus101, it turns out @Taloth was correct. I reinstalled mono, rebooted, then updated the library and everything is right as rain!
