I am a little confused.
I have one mac running sonarr and plex.
I have another mac running utorrent behind a VPN. uTorrent monitors my dropbox folder for torrent files.
when setting up the black hole; which folder should the “torrent folder” be pointed too and which folder should the "watch folder: be pointed too in sonarr settings?
utorrent extracts to the drone factory folder on my NAS which is shared by both MACs

Torrent folder should be the dropbox folder where uTorrent watches for .torrent files.
Watch folder should be the folder where uTorrent moves completed downloads.
I think you don’t require the drone factory, unless you use it for something else, and it can be disabled safely. At least set it to something else than the torrent watch folder.

I get utorrent to place completed files into to drone factory folder so that sonarr can find them and then sort and move them into appropriate directories and then notify plex.
I also use sonarr with sabnzbd to look for Usenet downloads first. Torrents are for stuff unavailable on Usenet and other oddball stuff
Summary:
1st Mac = sonarr + sabnzbdbd + plex with completed files moved to NAS ( Dropbox is watch folder for sabnzbd)
2nd Mac = utorrent + VPN + external drive for incomplete torrents with completed torrents moved to drone factory folder on NAS for sonarr to monitor and sort. (Dropbox is watch folder for torrent).
