Series Screen - Title Sorting

Hey guys,

Just noticed that a newly added show ‘Klondike (2013)’ is appearing at the top of my series list ahead of ‘2 Broke Girls’, and an existing show ‘A Football Life’ is sitting at the very bottom of my series list underneath ‘Yukon Gold’.

Not sure if this is something I’ve done, something backend, or something from our Data Source for Shows?

Happy to give you a screeny if need be!

What series view (table, posters, overview)? What column is selected for sorting?

I can confirm this happening to me as well. It happens when looking at the all series table view sorted by title.

Both these are data source issues, we’ll need to wait for them to be resolved.

Okay, the issue with Klondike showing up first is there is a space before the title, all the way back on TheTVDB, which is replicated to Trakt and finally drone picks it up.
Request for tvdb to fix it: http://forums.thetvdb.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=16378
Request for trakt to deal with this scenario in the future: http://support.trakt.tv/forums/188762-general/suggestions/5290227-removing-extra-spaces

A Football life is correct on tvdb, but wrong on trakt, I have asked trakt to address it: http://support.trakt.tv/forums/188762-general/suggestions/5290177-a-football-life

Had a feeling it was the data sources but didn’t exactly know where to look. Thanks for that Markus, i’ll check these out next time if there is an issue

I have a similar issue with the series A to Z which comes sorted under T as the A is ignored, which it obviously shouldn’t be. Not sure if it’s also a data source issue or something else, but I thought I’d write here instead of starting a new topic.

By design, see Title sort changed

The intent was to sort titles with articles at the start (a/an/the) to use the next word when sorting, the ‘A’ in ‘A to Z’ isn’t an article, but it got caught as one. I pushed a pretty ugly fix for it (especially if this is an issue with other series), but it will keep ‘A to Z’ sorted in the A’s. Its in develop now.
