Series in different folder

Hello,

When a episode is downloaded in a different folder, then nzbdrone won’t pick it up.

Example:

Folder : 45684056
Filename in folder : Series.Title.S01E01.720p.HDTV.x264-EVOLVE

Is there a way to change this?

Drone will detect files in properly named folder or no folders at all. Detecting files in incorrectly named folders would be possible, but would require some changes, not sure how big or small that would be. How are you ending up with folders name that way to begin with?

Sure it is possible for me to rename the folder, but 60% of my downloads don’t match and i really would like it automated.

Isn’t it possible to ‘look’ into the folder which files are present, so that it doesn’t matter what the main folder is named?

For example, if i download some next series, then the main folder is called 3457378959834, while the actual file is called Series.Title.S01E01.720p.HDTV.x264-EVOLVE, so nzbdrone won’t recognize the file and process.

Yes, it is possible, but I’m trying to understand why it needs to be done.

Right now, when we import a folder we are able to clean that folder up (delete it), once we have confirmed one or more files has been imported, this would change quite a lot if we changed the import process.

I understand the issue, but it doesn’t explain how those folder names are created, I haven’t seen this happen with my downloads. Before taking on something I want to understand why, so please explain.

Edit: On second thought, maybe it won’t be an issue for cleaning up, added to Trello, but it would still help to understand whats causing this issue: https://trello.com/c/QMlnWHNZ/435-processing-sub-folders-in-drone-factory-that-don-t-have-a-series-title

I don’t know why this is happening, but several times (when i’ve downloaded some series) they are in a different folder that has nothing to do with the original filename. Perhaps it’s done to avoid takedown or something, i really don’t know. Maybe it’s possible to scan inside the folders for filenames?

well… drone should it over to SAB however it was grabbed off your NZB site. I realize some file names are different, but when your site posts it, and drone grabs it and sends it to SAB, it should be the release name (whatever name the post was listed on your NZB site)… “not the mislabeled file name” that is being made in your complete/incomplete folders. then drone should have no problem post processing the download.
