Seeing multiple downloads

running on debian
Version 2.0.0.4389
Mono Version 4.2.3 (Stable 4.2.3.4/832de4b Wed Mar 16 13:19:08 UTC 2016)

I’ve searched through the forums and I and I can see some older postings on sonarr grabbing multiple copies of the same show. I’ve seen mention of the disk speed being a factor but I am running everything locally and it did not take 30 minutes copy over to my sonarr directories (amount of time between when the first one completed and when the second was added)

I know sonarr will grab a better quality (higher rez) if available, but these were both 720p …
(Separate question maybe – how to I turn this off, I’m satisfied with a SD download and don’t need sonarr to download a higher rez - just wasting my bandwidth and data transfer, ATT is already warning me that I am hitting there 1TB limit).

here is one example from last night.

It looks like Sonarr downloaded a REPACK of the same release.
There may be another way to turn this off, but you can add a restriction in the Indexers tab as “Must not contain” “REPACK”, this should stop it downloading any.
A group will release a REPACK when there is something wrong with the initial release, so it may be best to keep them.

Your second question - you can set the qualities in the Profiles tab, and then assign the profile to the shows. The Cutoff is where it will stop.

There is, disable Download Propers in the settings.

More information on profiles is on the wiki. https://github.com/Sonarr/Sonarr/wiki/Profiles
