Scan for missing episodes?

Hi all, quite new to Sonarr. I’ve added some shows. Some exist on my HDD which its picked up, some episodes are missing. Will Sonarr, at some point, search for and add those missing shows? Or do I need force it somewhere?

Unless they show up on an RSS feed (which is unlikely for old episodes) you’ll need to force a search. Either through the series page itself, or through the Wanted section.

OK thanks! One more thing, I’ve got Filebot checking for completed downloads, copying and renaming. I’ve disabled the options in Sonarr but I’m getting a ‘Enable Completed Download Handling or configure Drone factory’ in the status. Can I disable that?

Sonarr is meant to be the program in control of the files, sending requests to download stuff to your download application (e.g. sab or a torrent program), and then ask the download application when it’s done and take charge of the file and move and rename it.

Sonarr is complaining about the fact that you haven’t set up any way for it to see if the things it sent off to your download application are ever downloaded or not.
Either through Completed Download Handling (preferred, this directly talks to your downloader) or Drone Factory (obsolete, don’t use unless you can’t do it otherwise, it’s just a dumb watch folder).

I guess if you let Filebot move / rename the files into the same directory configured in sonarr to store series, they will be “seen” by sonarr after a series rescan, which happens every 12 hours if I’m correct.

You can force this for a particular series by clicking the “update series info and rescan disk” button, although I don’t feel it’s advisable to let 2 programs “fight” for control of the files.

On the other hand, I can’t comment on your workflow, maybe you need Filebot to do something with the files like encode them or something.
