I’ve been having this issue for a few weeks now.
Same here. I think an option not to try downloading episodes before their oficial release date would help.
Sample files aren’t imported, that’s expected, but once Sonarr imports a file from that download (from that folder) it will remove the download (usenet) or leave it seeding (torrents).
If there are RARed files in there, you’ll need to have your download client/a script extract it so Sonarr can import it.
If Sonarr is downloading sample only releases, make sure you set the minimum sizes.
I don’t see how one has to do with the other.
Should I extract in place rather the frowned upon drone factory?
Currently, I use a drone factory and it has always worked fine until recently.
If you extract in place you can rely on Completed Download Handling, if you extract to the Drone Factory you should disable Completed Download Handling and be aware that Drone Factory is considered deprecated and planned to be removed in v3.
One last thing…
How do I remove the stuck sample without deleting the torrent from deluge?
It seems my only options are,
- Remove from client
- Manual import
Both seem to be bad options.
Turning off Completed Download Handling will do it, if you’re leaving that enabled the easiest would be to drop a file in there for Sonarr to sort.
You could also change the label (depends on the client whether that will work).
Ha! Tried all of those and finally after changing the label and hitting remove in Sonarr it still deleted it in deluge. Sucky.
It also removed the file imported lol! Now Sonarr just grabbed it from a different tracker. Oh well.
I’ll just wait for the hit and run notice and worry about that then.
Do you happen to know of a good guide that details out a proper workflow for torrents? I’ve been using Sonarr for over a year now and I still feel like I’m winging it.
And… the sample file is stuck in Activity again.
I disabled the drone factory before this.
I believe it’s fixed now by extracting in place.
I installed the deluge plugin Simple Extractor, which supports this feature.
If you told Sonarr to remove it it doesn’t care which label it has on it. It’d take at least a minute before Sonarr would update it’s information from Deluge to see if changing the label worked.
Sonarr doesn’t remove the imported file when remove a release from the download client.
I don’t, extracting in place definitely helps (though Sonarr will only copy/hardlink the file if it’ still seeding).
The only way that is possible is if it wasn’t removed and still coming from Deluge since the queue is built off of what comes from Deluge.
That wouldn’t impact anything that was mentioned above, but will stop anything new being placed there from being processed (which is what you want).
I think my workflow before was confusing things. I had been using extractnow to drop into a drone factory. Then recently some genius uploader thought it would be a good idea to include a sample.
So I’m guessing this is one of the many reasons for not using a drone factory.
As soon as I force rechecked the file in deluge and it extracted in place, Sonarr recognized and skipped the sample.
Thanks for your help.
