Same quality file downloaded more than once

Hi everyone,

I’ve done a lot of reading but am still stuck.

Let’s take the example of show=Better Call Saul season_episode=01_08. The Profile for this show is HDTV-1080p and the cutoff is HDTV-1080p. The show was fetched by sabnzbd on Mar-24th @ 2:25 AM. Today I looked at the sab queue and see that the exact same file is queued for download. The exact same file, same name, same encoding, same distro, same everything. When I look at the Wanted queue in Sonarr I see that it is pending download. When I open up the Series in Sonarr that particular show is set for download, it doesn’t show me HDTV-1080p for instance. I watched the show yesterday and deleted it. It definitely came in alright.

I am using Completed Download Handling and do not have a Drone Factory folder setup. Sonarr and SAB are up to date.

Does anyone have a clue why this would be happening? I have many examples of this happening but it doesn’t happen all the time. It varies and some episodes download, update and get removed from the Wanted list while others don’t.

I’m stumped.

Thanks,
J

Do you have “Ignore Deleted Episodes” enabled in Sonarr’s settings? If not Sonarr detected it as deleted and redownloaded it because it was missing.

Thanks Markus, I misses when setting Sonarr up.

Hi Markus, busy week at work, sorry for the late reply. ‘ignore deleted episodes’ is flagged no. Any other ideas?

Here’s another example. Not exactly the same as the first example though.

Law & Order - SVU episode 17 ‘Parole Violations’. Profile is 720p, capped at HDTV. It downloaded yesterday, I’ve watched it and today I noticed it’s queued to download. This time it hasn’t fetched the exact same file but a 720 WEBDL version.

Thats your problem, I see from your screenshot for LaO:SVU that there isn’t a file on disk so Sonarr redownloaded it.

If you download, watch then delete you need to set “Ignore Deleted Episodes” to on.
