Same eps downloaded every RssSync

For the past few days now Sonarr (v2.0.0.3520 {started with 2.0.0.3515}) has been grabbing the exact same episodes repeatedly during every RssSymc. I’ve tried toggling RssSync on and off on my indexer to see if that would help, as it was first brought to my attention through a system notification – “Enabled indexers do not have RSS sync enabled” even though it was enabled.

I tried removing and adding the series that it was doing it with in the beginning, as well manually refreshing all shows so that it would know that the shows already existed to avoid grabbing again. Regardless it would still download any ep listed in the RSS that I had followed. I use blackhole, so they aren’t loaded more than once in my client. Nonetheless, I don’t want to abuse or waste the resources of the indexer by constantly grabbing the same thing at every interval.

Figured I’d check here to see if anyone else has ever experienced this problem and what I can possibly do to fix it. If more info is needed please let me know, and a big TIA for any help! Sonarr’s the best!!

Please hastebin debug logs of an RSS Sync that grabs something that was already grabbed so we can take a look.

That’s just the RSS errors showing it happening. While in the logs though I did notice other odd things like the indexer is there then it’s not. Also some JSON errors and coreindexer errors. Don’t know if that helps, but Sonarr has been awesome forever so don’t know why it’s happening now unless it could possibly be the indexer?

Here’s full log for past ~24 hours

Looks like the 2nd log was removed and the first isn’t debug, could you post the debug logs (need the extra details).

Ya. Sorry about that. Full log past ~24 hours

I didn’t have debug logging enabled by default per link, it was set to info. I just turned it on though. I’ll update with a actual debug log. Sorry again.

No problem, most people don’t run with debug on, its not the default after all, but an RSS sync from tonight should capture what we need.

OK. Debug enabled log below. Verified multiple RSS grabs within logs.Hope this helps. If you need more let me know. Thanks again m8.

Thanks, found the cause, just need to discuss how we want to solve this issue, should have a fix for it in the next day.

No problem, and Thank you… You guys are quick. The whole team rocks! Kudos.

Is it possible to understand the cause?

Fix has been pushed:

The torrent blackhole client was returning the hash of the torrent even though it wasn’t being used, the presence of that hash prevented Sonarr from recognizing the release was already been grabbed because Sonarr was relying on the history of the grab event as there isn’t a queue to track.

Just wanted to say thanks again! Simply amazing between skills and speed!

After the update there was just one ep that kept being repeated again, but that seems to have stopped now and all is well yet again. You guy are just awesome. Whatever you did too actually fixed it for the one anime show I follow. It stopped grabbing eps for it long ago, but actually picked up the last two during sync.

It did suffer the same problem that the other shows were experiencing only at first though, It grabbed them twice back-to-back during RssSync. I’ve checked several times since then both waiting for the intervals, and manually triggering, and the whole system is perfect once again.

If logs or anything else would be needed again just let me know. Great job markus101 I can’t thank you enough for your time and help!

Edit: It just grabbed it a third time. I don’t mind removing it since it’s the only anime, or maybe I should change the series type. Renaming is handled external if that has any bearing on it. Logs below.

Sorry I should have added its a fix going forward, anything that was already grabbed would likely get grabbed again.

We might need to extend the grace period, currently its 1 hour, but thats pretty tight, given you’re sorting outside of Sonarr does Sonarr ever see the file as imported?

That’s understandable and nothing major. Just wasn’t sure.

Sonarr doesn’t ever see the file as imported. Only twice has it imported when I transferred files to my FTP folder. I check via activity/history to see grabs, and use the calendar for season monitoring.

My client monitors the FTP folder for anything from Sonarr, or I send, and then loads/deletes. I have a script that runs to handle copy/rename when done.
