Running two instances of Sonarr

I was wondering if it was possible to run two separate instances of sonarr on the same server, and if so what would be the best way to do this? currently running this on windows server 2008 R2, I cannot change this to a linux box at this time due to the other applications I run on the server.

I currently have Sonarr running for my anime downloads and love it, and sickbeard running for my mainstream tv downloads and think it’s terrible overall, I end up manually downloading about as often as it picks up content. The way I separate content on my server and the downloads of them, I don’t really want both types in the same Sonarr instance. I use separate download tags, categories and folders, plus given the overall number of series in each server I think it would be very cluttered if they were in the same, and I’d like a separate calendar for each media type.

No, that is not currently possible, even in linu x we don’t support it, but it works due to how processes are isolated.

At this time this is not something we plan to support.

I think, if I understand you correctly, that sonarr will do what you want, all in one instance.

You can put anime in /media/anime// and regular tv in /media/tv// very easily. You can also apply separate tags to each.

There are even separate rules for naming Anime, normal, and daily.

What is sonarr missing for you to be able to do as you wish?
