Restore backup from old nzbdrone to sonarr

I have been running Sonarr for almost a year and a half and my server died over the weekend. I am in the process of rebuilding and have reinstalled Sonarr on a new HD, and want to restore the backup from my previous version that I was able to recover.

I notice that now the config.xml and .db file are located in a different path /var/lib/sonarr instead of the path from my previous install which was /root/.config/nzbdrone. I overwrote the files in the new location but Sonarr would not start, so I undid that and got Sonarr started back up, but it would be really nice if I could use the backup file from the old nzbdrone pathing with the new sonarr pathing.

Has anyone else had any experience with this? Is this possible? Is there a file path I need to change somewhere to get the new sonarr to restore from my old backup?

Likely a permissions issue. Make sure the permissions of the files you’re restoring are the same as the ones you removed. Also rename nzbdrone.db to sonarr.db.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try this when I get home and report back.

Renamed nzbdrone.db to sonarr.db and ran chown and chgrp on config.xml and sonarr.db to resolve issue.

Thank you!
