[Resolved] Sonarr on Ubuntu and ReadyNas

Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.3953
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): 4.2.3.4 (stable)
OS: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Description of issue:
Hi All,

I want to get Sonarr to move the file downloaded using sabnzbd to my ReadyNAS, but im not sure how to get sonarr to see the share. I tried the following:

1 - connect the drive in ubuntu GUI smb://10.2.2.230/ however when I use the folder browser in sonarr I cant see the mount.

2- in the folder browser type in the unc address.

3- Google… from what I read in the FAQ is that limition in windows that i cant be running as a service (I dont believe this apply) and I tried entering the unc path directly into the file browser also didn’t work.

can some one please ELI5 it for me cause seem feel like im missing something simple but I just cant put my finger on it.

Edit: I should note, SAB and Sonaar are on the same machine (10.2.2.222), they are working very happily together, at the moment Sonarr just moves the files into season folder on the local machine. I just cant get sonarr to see my NAS

Thank you.

More of a side-step but have you tried using NFS and a mount-point instead on your Ubuntu server? NFS works much better, at least for me, than SMB.

Hi lordjynx thanks for the reply. I have not tried NFS.

I will give it a try but just to make sure I an understand you, are you saying I should try changing the share type on the ReadyNAS from SMB to NFS and then mounting (as a permanent mount) the share on the Ubuntu machine running Sonarr?

Edit: that does make sense, by mounting to a mount point (permanent mount) ill just be able to point sonarr to the mount point on the local machine. thanks ill give it a try when I get home from work.

Yeap, exactly what I did… except I also left the SMB share on mine for Kodi stuff but should work…

That worked. Thank you so much for your help lordjynx.
