[REQ] Search All Missing episodes

Why: Sickbeard missed stuff, but I now manually browse and click Search… but a Search all missing button would be highly appreciated :slight_smile:

#EDIT: Can’t select all -> press next -> select all… because it removes the checkmarks on the previous page…

We have no plans to add a search all button. It’s too aggressive as it would hammer indexers with calls.

Hmm… paid dimes for those 5k API calls on indexers >.<

Anyways, would it be possible to make the selections stick?

So i can Select all on page 1, press next, select all, … then press Search Selected?

Missing often includes things that aren’t available at all, there is very little sense in asking for 2000 episodes from 3 indexers, whether or not they were paid for. Thats a lot of requests to make in a short period of time to maybe find 10%? (and I’m being very generous).

The results for missing are paged from the server (otherwise it takes a long time to return the page initially), once the page is changed the contents of the previous page are gone, including the selections, also why select all only selects the current page.

You can trigger multiple searches at once (you don’t need to wait for one to finish before starting the next), but it would be, next page, select all, search selected (one extra click).

About that 10%, I pretty much get everything downloaded…

I bought some more backup/fill servers so I’ve to re-do all thats why I wanted to use the search all function.

Thankyou for explaining, I assumed without the little floating box telling me it’s searching it just ignored the other clicks.

I guess it depends on if they were posted/failed previously, most of my missing episodes have not been posted or they failed previously. If someone posts/reposts them they will be grabbed automatically.

Thats just a UI notification, it will prevent the exact same search from being triggered, but another one can be. Looks like the search selected icon might get stuck in a spinning mode with multiple searches, just a UI glitch though.
