Everyone knows that Sonarr allows you to rename the season and episode (S01E10, 1x10 or 110) any way you want. The problem is, if you utilize The TVDB metadata information and you name your files S01E10, the xml file you get from TVDB will match the file name you created as far as the file itself but it doesn’t match the file naming convention on the inside of the xml file.
Example:
American Idol S15E22 American Dream.mp4
American Idol S15E22 American Dream.xml
Names are the same on the outside but inside the xml it says:
American Idol - 15x22 - American Dream
It would be great to have a renaming add-on that copies the name of the file and then opens the xml and pastes the information in between the titles tags. So it goes from:
< title>American Idol - 15x22 - American Dream</ title>
to
< title>American Idol S15E22 American Dream</ title>
Have the add-on watch the activity page or scan all the folders wherever the shows are being stored after download so the name on the inside of the xml gets changed immediately.
