I have read a number of answers on this one which just left me more confused. I think what this is for is for sonarr to be able to get to a completely downloaded show, rename it, and then send it to the tv show directory. The TV show directory is defined elsewhere.
I have a /greg/video/incomplete and a /greg/video/complete folder. Here is what I entered into the remote path setup:
Host: http://127.0.0.1:8080
Remote: /sabnzbd/ /home/greg/video/complete/
Local: /home/greg/video/complete/
I was going to just fill in the ‘local’ thing but it forced entry to the remote even though there was nothing remote to deal with (its all on the same machine) I am probably missing something here.
If everything (sonarr + download client) is on the same machine you don’t need remote path mapping. That is only required when sonarr and your download client are on different machines.
I messed with the settings again and it forced me to enter the remote data which is:
Host: http://127.0.0.1:8080/sabnzbd/
Remote URL: /home/greg/video/tv/
Local: /home/greg/video/tv/
Hopefully this will not make a difference as I didn’t have a choice.
That does nothing, removing the Remote Path Mapping would do the same thing. For simplicity remove it, it’ll only cause confusion later.
The host is wrong since it doesn’t match the Host field for SABnzbd and the paths are the exact same. Even if you changed the Host to match the download client it’d do nothing exact replace the path with the same path.
