This error keeps appearing in my log file:
Found daily-style episode for non-daily series: [261690][The Americans (2013)].
It isn’t causing a problem, I’m just interested what might be causing it.When it happens the same error is repeated 9 times.

Either a bad release coming from one of your indexers (RSS feed) or from a file on disk, I’d assume its the former, but the log should specify which.
I copied the full text of the log in my original post. Bad release how? All my episodes of this series were imported to Sonarr, I already had them when I started using it. The naming convention is consistent.
Debug logs would show what was being processed before that error, bad release as in something bad on your indexer’s RSS feed.
Thanks for your help. I switched on debug logging, this is a section that has been logged since:
It’s coming from this file: The Americans_ITV1_2013_06_01_22_00_00 - DVRMS.xml
15-6-9 15:28:53.0|Debug|NzbDrone.Core.Parser.QualityParser|Trying to parse quality for The Americans_ITV1_2013_06_01_22_00_00 - DVRMS.xml
Looks like an extra metadata file of some sort.
Much appreciated, thank you. I had all sorts of superfluous metadata in my library from previously using Media Browser and Sickbeard. All gone.
