It started happening last week I think. I haven’t done anything to the settings or other adjustments so I don’t know why this is happening.
I had the same thing occur, most recently today. As shown in the logs below, the same episode was grabbed twice, once by RSS Sync and once by MissingEpisodeSearchService.

@chaoz Need a lot more information… Are they the same quality? Were they already imported after the download completed? A screenshot of the activity tab for one or more of the affected episodes would be very useful as logs are not going to be (unless they’re debug).
@can_o_soup The search shouldn’t have re-added something that was already queued, I’ll take a look at that.
Yes, it’s the same file.
According to the screenshot none of your downloads have ever been imported from the drone factory.
How are you sorting them?
If its by another process, did you delete the episode after it was sorted?
I’m not quite sure what you mean. I use just download directly to my desktop; I don’t have any sorting options enabled.
If drone never sorts the downloaded episodes it will never treat them as completed and redownloading could occur.

I just switched to nzbdrone from sickbeard and I have the same problem. When I turn my pc on in the morning it grabs the same episode twice.
This is fixed in develop.

@chaoz probably an edit to his original post. If you’re still having issues we’ll need to see Debug logs (as mentioned above).
I enabled sorting, but I’m not sure if it’s correct or not. It worked for a week, till today, where it redownloaded the same episode from a show.
I’m not sure where to find my debug files; I only just enabled the option.
@chaoz is the new file a proper? or the cutoff wasn’t met?
If you just enabled it then it won’t have the info anyways, but you can view the log files in the UI at System -> Logs -> Files
The file is the exact same. It then tried to download another file that was after my cutoff quality.
Was the original file deleted?
No.
A screenshot of the episode activity (from the episode modal) would be nice, but debug logs will needed to try and sort out what is going on.
Hope that’s what you wanted. What’s the debug file called? I see nzbdrone.txt with various numbers.
Where did you enable sorting? Your screenshot only shows grabs, not sorting from the drone factory folder.
The logs are in all those files, I’d need to see the one that shows the grab event.
What does your quality profile look like? (screenshot please)
