Reading All RSS Entries

Hoping this is something that can easily be added.

Having trouble with some shows in the library that don’t appear on other indexers, however the current RSS Aggregater will only ‘grab’ new content from an RSS feed.

Can we make it so that we can search feeds, regardless of age of content? I mean these are reserved to approx. 25 items each anyway?
Would help automatically resolving missing episodes. Well, i Understand there is manual work here, but i couldnt understand why all items in the feed arent accepted

Not sure I follow what you’re looking for. Sonarr already fetches the RSS feed and processes all the items regardless of how old they are.

I am obviously new to the product then

Could you advise where to look for what is going wrong? I perform an RSS sync, but it never detects missing episodes. Even when I have added a feed that only contains information relating to that one show. ie. The episode is there, i can see it in the feed, but Sonarr never starts the download

I would expect it to at least pick it up here. Alternatively/Additionally is it possible to be able to ‘check RSS’ for missing episodes similar to how to automatic scan works for sites like RARBG

Check the ((debug logs)) that will show each release being processed and whether it was accepted or rejected (and why it was rejected).

You can forcibly run an RSS Sync from the series list page, which would achieve that.

Do you mean Automatic Search? Search is quite different that RSS, even if you’re using an RSS feed for a specific series Sonarr doesn’t know that it’s for that specific series (and not all that common that a feed would be for a specific series).

All i see in the debug logs is entries such as reports found 185 'reports grabbed: 0

So even though the feed contaains the show, im not getting library matches

Any ideas?

Did enable ((debug logging)) first? (It’s not enabled by default). Only the logs will help determine why it’s not grabbing them.

I must have forgot to hit save as it double checked and it was still info.

It appears its rejecting due to an unknown file size error. I have it set to just read SD Entries as i dont need 720p etc.

Would your advice be to edit the SD profile and add the unknown quality as a valid download?

Unknown quality or file size (or both)?

Unknown quality means they aren’t named very well, but if you want them you’d need to allow Unknown qualities to be grabbed (either edit the profile or create a new one).

Unknown size could be the feed not returning it, if so there is an option for that in settings for that indexer in Sonarr. If it’s too small or too big then adjust the size limits accordingly.

i would say both this particular feed doesnt return size information.

the log entries are
16-12-6 12:55:47.4|Debug|AcceptableSizeSpecification|Release has unknown size, skipping size check.
16-12-6 12:55:47.4|Debug|LanguageSpecification|Checking if report meets language requirements. English

16-12-6 12:55:47.5|Debug|QualityAllowedByProfileSpecification|Checking if report meets quality requirements. Unknown v1
16-12-6 12:55:47.5|Debug|QualityAllowedByProfileSpecification|Quality Unknown v1 rejected by Series’ quality profile
