Quality Selection

I am having some problems getting things to download, I keep receiving the message…

“Sorry, couldn’t find [EPISODE-NAME], that matches your preferences.”

If I do a manual check of NZB.SU then there are both SD and HD versions available.

I assume this is something to do with the Quality profiles that I have set up, they are as follows…

Intention: Download the FIRST AVAILABLE release irrespective of quality and then NEVER UPGRADE to a better quality.
Name: First Release
Cutoff: SDTV
Selected: All qualities
Result: “Sorry, couldn’t find [EPISODE-NAME], that matches your preferences.”

Intention: Download the FIRST AVAILABLE release irrespective of quality and then UPGRADE to the best release possible.
Name: Best Release
Cutoff: BluRay 1080p
Selected: All qualities
Result: “Sorry, couldn’t find [EPISODE-NAME], that matches your preferences.”

Intention: Only download an SD release
Name: SD Release
Cutoff: DVD
Selected: SDTV
WebDL480p
DVD
Result: “Sorry, couldn’t find [EPISODE-NAME], that matches your preferences.”

Anyone who can offer any advise as to how Quality actually works and where I have gone wrong?

Thanks

Harroguk

It could be caused by a number of things, not just quality, but size, custom start date as well. You can see why each result was rejected under History -> Search History. (this will be better integrated in vnext).

You’re quality profiles look good to me and it looks like you have the grasp of them, they will do exactly as you want, so its something else rejecting them.

Thanks for the pointer to that log, I hadn’t found that one.

it seems that the reason it wasn’t being picked up is because it was being detected as “Unknown” quality. I imagine this is because there was no quality indicator in the filename although it was in the TV>SD category of nzb.su

Not sure how they do detection of quality, but NzbDrone would require HDTV (without 720p) to be in the title to be picked up as SDTV.
