I’m not sure if I’m doing this right but my setup is as following:
Allowed:
- 720p HD Tv
- 720p WEB-DL
- 720p Blu-Ray
Cut off : 720p WEB-DL.
Now as of Lately I’ve been getting a lot of Blu-Rays, but I’d rather have WEB-DL’s.
When it’s searching and finds both WEB-DL / Blu-Ray does it look at the Cut off settings and pick the WEB-DL or does it pick the best available.
After all, I just want Blu-ray if there’s no WEB-DL available.
It picks the best available, so in your example it would pick Blu-Ray. If you already had WEB-DL it wouldn’t upgrade it to Blu-Ray, but if you had HDTV it would upgrade to BluRay.
https://trello.com/c/dmuIBWwH/224-customize-quality-order is about as close as it could get, in which you would invert Blu-Ray and WEB-DL from their standard order, which would achieve what you want without having to make changes to the profile.
Ah okay, I’ll just remove the Blu-Ray from searching for now and wait for the feature to be added.
