I’ll only manually check for udpates every other week (quicker now since the trakt/tvdb changes) and sometimes find I’m 2 or 3 behind the latest. I’m also not a fan of auto updating, incase something breaks and I’ve bricked software.
So…
Can you look into having a Sonarr channel on pushbullet (https://www.pushbullet.com/channels) so we get push notifications of new updates.
Or, I just thought of this, another option under the pushbullet settings for updates, that’ll come from my client itself. I’m fairly certain CouchPotato will do the same, emailing/pushing notifications of when theres a new update.
The overall concept is already on Trello: https://trello.com/c/5KgQXccf/704-notification-when-sonarr-updates
By the time a release hits master it has gone through hundreds of updates, and likely multiple cycles as new versions are pushed out to develop. Long term our goal is to provide automatic updates to everyone, its the only way to keep people running new versions of Sonarr and to take advantage of the fixes we put out.
Cheers Markus. I checked the forums for feature requests, but not the trello. Yay for fragmentation.
In the meantime I’ll snapshot my VM that runs NZBdrone, enable automatic updates, and see how it goes.
