Problem with quality full in episode renaming

My understanding with the episode renaming setting {quality full} was that it would also display any additional information (such as proper\repack\real etc). Currently I’m using the following advanced renaming string:

{Series Title} - S{season:00}E{episode:00} - {Episode Title} - {Quality Full}

If it’s a ‘REAL’ release, it behaves as expected - example:
Series Title - S01E03 - Episode Name - HDTV-720p REAL.mkv

However for ‘PROPER’ releases, it doesn’t seem to be renaming them correctly:
Series Title - S03E24 - Episode Name - DVD.avi

I see this in the episode history for the above ‘PROPER’ release:

Relevant Installation Information:

Version – 2.0.0.3645
Mono Version – 3.10.0 (tarball Sat Mar 28 10:18:33 UTC 2015)

The problem in this case is the source file name, it doesn’t contain proper anywhere in the title so Sonarr doesn’t know its a proper when its importing.

So even though it’s in both the NZB name and the source directory name it won’t mark it as a proper since it’s not also in the filename? I’m only asking as I already had this episode at this given quality, and Sonarr redownloaded it as a ‘proper’ version - so I had assumed it would get marked that way.

Thanks for your help.

The release name isn’t currently considered and I believe recent changes have altered how the folder name is used, something that we’ll need to look into.

I can also confirm that there must have been recent changes regarding the quality extraction from the folder name. One month ago, downloaded releases with no source in the filename were still correctly recognized, because the source was included in the folder name:

Now, this doesn’t seem to be the case anymore:

It affects a lot of my downloaded episodes and it would be nice if these recent changes could be rolled back or adjusted.

Patrick
