Problem Searching for QI XL

Hi Guys,

Not really sure where this one is going wrong.

I have added the series “QI XL” it adds with no problems.
When I do a manual search for “QI XL - 11x01 - Knees & Knockers” it returns results for “QI.S11E01” which is a shorter version of the same programme.
according to a physical search of nzb.su then there is a version called “BBC QI XL (Quite Interesting) S11E01 Knees & Knockers” that is available to download.

What do I need to change in order to get a better match? thexem.de? thetvdb? or is it a back-end programmatical error that should be added to the “Scene Relase Names” Spreadsheet?

I ask because “BBC QI XL (Quite Interesting) S11E01 Knees & Knockers” doesn’t seem to be a scene release.

For your questions (which is mostly covered in the FAQ):

  1. Its not a numbering issue, since S11E011 is used by both the scene and tvdb (thexem.de)
  2. The data is already in drone, so not a tvdb/trakt issue (v2 uses trakt)
  3. Scene Release Names spreadsheet is used to fix differences in names between the scene and tvdb/trakt, which this is, but that mapping was added a long time ago (not on the sheet as it predates that).

drone uses tvrage ids to search newznab indexers, but there isn’t a tvrage shows for QI XL, just QI, so its only finding QI results. IMO trakt show not have a tvrage id at all for QI because of this, but I’m not sure what their stance is.

I asked trakt about it, since its a bit of an odd situation, if they remove the tvrage id, drone will fall back to searching by name, if they decide to leave it as is, then we’ll have to look at a way to disable searching by tvrage id for certain shows.

Thanks very much for the response, I did think it was behaving a bit out of the norm so thanks for the clarifications.

I have voted on the above trakt.tv support link and will follow it for any progress. Thanks again. Its nice to have devs that respond so quickly to issues and look for ways to resolve them. One of the primary reasons I moved to nzbdrone.exe

Not sure what to do here, a work around which would be to unmonitor the episodes and find them manually, its a pain.

I think the solution would be to disable searching for that series by tvrage ID, but for that we need advanced options in the UI as well as the ability for that toggle to control the search.

So it looks like Scene has adjusted and is now releaseing (note the "Uncut)…

This is successfully picked up and downloadable with NZBDrone, (probably because it parses the uncut as the episode name?)

Dont know if this is actually any help or not in addressing the issue?

Its just going to get picked up as QI, right now there is no way to prefer the UNCUT over the non-UNCUT release so its just going to grab whatever it comes across first.

At least I can grab the uncut version now which is something I couldnt do before. Feel free to delete the “SceneRename” request that I put in. I was pretty sure it wasnt relevant but added it just in case.
