Prevent full scanning of whole file on rescan

Hi there,

I tried to switch from Sickbeard to sonarr. I’m using Google Drive to archiving my files.

On first scan all my files would be completely downloaded by sonarr to find the quality. This will more than a week for me. Is there a way to prevent downloading everything and give a “standard” quality (for example by extension or size)?

Best regards
Cappa

We actually base quality on the filename&extension only atm, but we also collect mediainfo for renaming purposes.
afaik, MediaInfo only reads parts of the file, so it kinda depends on how Google Drive works.

There isn’t a way around this, sry.

Then the mediainfo is the problem. To get first and last blocks from file a full download might be needed.

Would be great if there’s a way to directly import Sickbeard DB or turn of mediainfo function for first scan.
