Is it possible to select a preferred download profile (e.g. SD, HD-720p, etc) for a particular TV show? I know you can say ‘only download SD’ but can you say ‘download SD as the first preference, but if there isn’t one then download HD’. This would be good for those with download quotas.
If it isn’t an option yet, can it be in the next release?

Allow more qualities in the profile and put SDTV above HDTV-720p then use a delay profiles to delay grabbing releases immediately.
Thanks for the help! I read the pages from the wiki, but there’s one thing I’m still unsure about.
If I do as you suggest, there will be a delay before Sonarr downloads the HD version, so it will preference the SD version if both are available. But if the SD version has been downloaded and then the delay expires, will it try to download an HD version to replace the SD version?

No, it won’t replace a better quality release with a lower quality one. The delayed release will be removed when the SDTV release is grabbed if its also the cutoff quality. To bypass the delay for SDTV make it the most wanted allowed quality in the profile and it will be grabbed as soon as it is available.
Profile:
Then setup the delay profile to wait the maximum time you’d want to wait for SDTV to become available before grabbing the HDTV-720p release.
