Sorry to resurrect dead request but what’s the status on this by the team? (original request, 2015)
It would be nice, as I like to have a decentralized infrastructure.
Excuse my naive question, but is it that complex to have something like a mechanism to convert magnet to .torrent files?

Magnet links will be saved as .magnet in a future release. You can’t convert them without connecting to the swarm, so we’re leaving that up to the client.

Have you a version number that you’re targeting specifically?
No, version numbers are auto generated. It will probably be in the next release, though that might not happen if a quick fix needs to be released instead of a larger update.
