As a Netflix subscriber, it would be cool if Sonarr could check to see if the shows were available on it before downloading. This would help keep download and disk usage to a minimum.

As far as I’m aware Netflix doesn’t have an API to gather that information and a 3rd party API is not likely reliable enough.
http://www.canistream.it shows this sort of information and, while I don’t see any signs of an api for them, they do appear to use the TVDB id for shows, so it should be possible to offer an appropriate link for each series which goes to http://www.canistream.it/tv/series/(tvdb id).
You’d still have to look things up yourself and decide what to do with the information, but it’d be a couple of steps faster, and a lot less work for the developers to implement.
That is too bad, it would be so easy for them to implement. But I see the point of what does it gain them.
