Pia killswitch breaks sonarr

So all of a sudden Sonarr (and Radarr) stopped working when I have my PIA(Private internet access) Kill switch activated. Took me forever to figure out that that was the error.
When it’s activated the server just times out/not responding.

Posted the issue on the PIA forum but they say that I should ask here instead. Any thoughts on what the issue could be? It’s been working fine up until today.

If the default connection is through PIA and the kill switch is activated then Sonarr wouldn’t be able to connect. A VM or another system running your torrent client through PIA is often what people do.
