Path Does Not Exist (read faq)

Sonarr version (2.0.0.4389):

Windows 10 64 bit:
Invalid request Validation failed: – Path does not exist
http://pastebin.com/GiCFHHwm

I’m trying to path to a network NAS drive with the network path: \TNAS-AC5F\public\Emby\TV
Sonarr keeps kicking back that the path is invalid. I have tried changing the service from a system service to run as my username, I have also tried running it directly out of the folder instead of as a service. I’m running it with administrative privileges. Other programs such as sabnzbd and CP are not having any problem with the path.

All the log messages point to Z:\ have you tried using the UNC path instead?

16-11-22 21:17:24.2|Warn|DiskScanService|Series' root folder (Z:\Emby) doesn't exist.

So at some point it was able to connect and now it’s not?

The easiest combination with a network share (a UNC path or mapped network drive) is disabling the Sonarr service and running NzbDrone.exe (gives you a tray icon) or NzbDrone.Console.exe (console window) and connecting via UNC, though a mapped network drive should also work there. Any other combination is prone to issues with authentication or permissions.

I used a mapped network drive the the first try, I use the network path now. It has never connected with either. I have tried without the service (stopped) and tried both exe files. I have also tried with the service logged in as a user.

The last two lines show when I try and add the network path’ \\TNAS-AC5F\public\Emby\TV’ in the series editor

 -- Path does not exist

What if you use the IP address instead of the hostname?
Did you also try the mapped network drive when running the executable?

I did try the mapped network drive when using the executable. But I have not tried the IP itself. I will try that when I get home, which won’t be until Sunday. I will return with the results. I have also tried renaming the device as well as I wasn’t sure if the ’ - ’ was an invalid character or not.

Using the IP gives the same error.

oh, haha, Jesus, I hate you windows 10. I found the issue. I had to switch from a Microsoft account to a local account. Even though I was trying to sign in with a local account on the drone service, it still didn’t work. So how would I get this to work while logged in a Microsoft account?

Good question, I’m not sure how you can do that.
