Option to turn off thexem mapping for individual shows and globally?

(Yeah, I know this has been requested several times before, but I believe I’m coming at this from a slightly different angle.)

In a nutshell, as fantastic as the scene is, it isn’t the only source of TV shows, and it’d be helpful to be able to tell Sonarr that I don’t get show XYZ via scene releases (and perhaps also to temporarily deactivate thexem-based renaming globally to import a whole bunch of stuff that’s already numbered according to thetvdb).

Private trackers, for example, have their own cappers who are not part of the scene and thus give their uploads season and episode numbers from thetvdb, not the scene.

Right now, I’m having this issue with “The Last Leg”, which is currently broadcasting daily due to the Paralympics.

I get the episodes from a private tracker because they’re uploaded by a forum member a couple of hours after broadcast, while scene releases don’t show up until days or weeks later. The episodes are already numbered according to thetvdb.

As soon as Sonarr gets the files, it promptly assigns them to the previous season because it assumes they’re scene rips and I can’t tell it otherwise.

Sure, it’s no great chore to go into the show’s folder, rename the episodes by hand and tell Sonarr to rescan and rename, but fundamentally Sonarr is making more work for me in this case, which is kinda contrary to its purpose…

I wrote myself a script that will move files to the right show directory, so Sonarr doesn’t apply thexem renumbering, but I still have to go in and remove the wrongly-named duplicate Sonarr imported from rTorrent and, on occasion, restore files from the Trash if Sonarr “upgraded” them with different episodes.

I imagine that’s a fair bit harder if you have Sonarr running on a NAS or some other headless box and/or don’t have my moderate scripting chops.

(I would like to say at this point that it’s awesome that Sonarr trashes files instead of deleting them. Extremely awesome  )

Similarly, if you have a whole bunch of shows from a friend or an old harddrive or wherever that already have thetvdb season and episode numbers, it would be awesome to be able to temporarily turn off thexem globally, so you can dump the whole lot in your Drone Factory Folder and let Sonarr do what it’s best at and rename and organise them for you, without your having to put everything in the proper show folder first to avoid them being interpreted as scene releases.

I’d have a go at implementing this myself, but I’m a UNIX guy, and haven’t the first clue when it comes to C# :disappointed: I know well-written code when I see it, so I know there’s no chance I could write any C# that would end up in the Sonarr codebase.

I could trade you a userscript to open all seasons in a series page (makes CTRL/CMD+F useable, so no need to go to thetvdb.com)
