There are some older shows that I will add, but either don’t want to spend the space for all of it or just want to pace ourselves and not have Plex flooded with a bunch of just-added episodes, crowding out shows we’re caught up on and getting new episodes. For example, I keep Doctor Who unmonitored, and go in daily to have it get the oldest episode we haven’t seen yet, and then we watch that and the next time I’m at my computer, I repeat the process. I don’t keep these episodes around, I delete them. So I was thinking:
A setting to say “Only keep X number of episodes.” There’s a similar request for this but slightly different, as the solutions to that involved watched status. I only care about exists status. When Sonarr does its maintenance and sees that this particular episode of Doctor Who has been deleted, it then adds the next one to the downloader. (Or two, or however many the user wants to configure it). That shouldn’t require any kind of external API or tracking, since Sonarr does indeed notice when a tracked episode is missing.
