Hi just found this great site im having trouble setting it up i use newsbin pro and im trying to configure it as a black hole but i cant get any indexers to work i keep getting invalid urls whaen i try to set the newnab im using nzbplanet and i have an api key
could anybody help with a step by step guide i have all mytv shows ready but just cant get anything to download

i think you’ll find sabnzbd will work best with nzbdrone
I am not saying newsbin pro won’t work but i don’t know for sure if it will as i have always used sabnzbd
SABnzbd will work best with Drone, but its not required. Blackhole + your client of choice should work just fine.
What URL are you using for the indexer? You will need to use something like: http://nzbplanet.net or https://nzbplanet.net (depending if you want to use SSL or not). The only default indexer that drone has is womble’s but it doesn’t support searching.
Have you already added shows to drone?
Quick guide:
- Get NzbDrone running (https://github.com/NzbDrone/NzbDrone/wiki/Installation)
- Setup indexers
- Setup directories (drone factory/blackhole)
- Add shows
- Search for missing shows/wait for new ones to be posted and grabbed automatically
I use Newsbin Pro with NZB Drone without any issues. i actually prefer Newsbin Pro over SABnzbd because I like to to use a real Windows application GUI; also isnt cluttered with post-processing options. I didnt have to do anything special… just define “Options\ZB Options\ZB Watch Folder” …meant for NZB Drone blackhole directory. I also put typed in the url and api key in nzbdrone. I didnt have to do anything else other than setup a tv show to start monitoring. if youre having issues after doing that, it may be a problem with your indexer service or wrong indexer url/api.
